Job Summary:
Universal Plant Services is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Fleet Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of our fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with regulations, and efficiently utilized. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of fleet management.
Responsibilities:
- Acquisition, operations, maintenance and disposal of the company fleet of motor vehicles.
- Develop and maintain both vendor and service provider relationships for fleet services.
- Ensure fleet compliance as pertains to registration, permits, insurance and fuel cards.
- Use existing technology to train and monitor approved drivers.
- Ensure DOT Compliance.
- Prepare and submit timely information for insurance claims.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fleet administration, fleet management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, regulatory requirements, and fleet operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and external vendors.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license; additional certifications in fleet management are a plus.
