Conventional Machinist

Universal Plant Services is seeking an experienced with proven expertise operating engine lathes, milling machines, Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM), and Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL). Skilled in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, selecting appropriate machining methods, and working with a variety of materials while maintaining precise tolerances. Strong knowledge of machining principles, machine setup, tooling, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient operations. Dedicated to producing high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Conventional machinist must be able to run engine lath, mills, HBM and VTL Technical Blueprints: Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
• Machining Principles: Knowledge of machining techniques and principles.
• Machining Properties: Familiarity with various materials and their machining properties.
• Machining Tools: Ability to set up and operate conventional machining tools.
• Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail in machining tasks.
• Troubleshooting: Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Physical: Physical stamina for standing and operating machinery for extended periods.
• Communication: Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Experience Level:
Proven experience as a Conventional Machinist
