Job Description:
Universal Plant Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery, including pumps, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, turbines, and other rotating equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
- Utilize precision tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used in accordance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of work orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 years or more of Mechanic experience working on pumps, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, turbines and rotating equipment.
- NCCER Millwright certification helpful.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.
- Supply your own basic mechanic tools.
- This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40+ hours per week. Additional hours, including evenings or weekends, maybe required based on business needs.
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
